Only administrators can add or edit workplace properties.
1. What is a Workplace?
A [Workplace] refers to the location where employees work. Each workplace has its unique location and serves as the place where attendance, absence, return, movement, and arrival records are logged.
The concept of workplace in Shopl can be divided into three main categories:
- Workplace: Registered workplaces in the Shopl app and dashboard.
- Fixed Workplace: The default workplace where an employee works unless otherwise specified.
- Temporary Workplace: A workplace not registered in Shopl.
2. Workplace Properties
[Workplace properties] are information that characterizes a registered workplace. The system provides default properties, including workplace name, code, address, distributor, state and city, district, and workplace representative photo. Administrators can also create custom properties.
When adding a workplace, you can select from the options for state, distributor, district, and custom properties that were registered beforehand.
State and City
This refers to the state or city where the workplace is located, according to the official standards of each country (e.g., Seoul Special City). This is useful when registering the location of a workplace.
Adding/Editing State and City
- Dashboard > Workplace > [Workplace Management]
- Select the [Settings] tab, then choose workplace properties > state and city.
- Select [Add/Edit] for the state, input the name, and click [Add].
- Select the state and then click [Add/Edit] for the city, input the city name, and click [Add].
- The added/edited state and city information will appear as selectable options when registering a workplace.
Area
If your company uses location-based workplace information other than the state and city, you can use the "Area" property.
Registering an Area
- Dashboard > Workplace > Workplace Management.
- Select the [Settings] tab, then choose workplace properties > Area.
- Set the "Use Area" option to [Yes].
- Enter the area name and click [Add].
- The area will be available as a selectable input option when registering a workplace.
Distributor
A distributor refers to a company through which goods sold by your company are distributed.
Registering a Distributor
- Dashboard > Workplace > Workplace Management.
- Select the [Settings] tab, then choose workplace properties > Distributor.
- Enter the distributor name and click [Add].
- You can upload a logo image for the registered distributor.
- You can select the distributor's channel. To select a channel, you need to pre-register the channel options.
- The registered distributor will appear as a selectable input option when registering a workplace.
Custom Properties
Custom properties are additional properties you can use, apart from the default workplace properties (e.g., operating hours, phone numbers). These properties can be created and used by administrators.
Registering Custom Properties
- Dashboard > Workplace > Workplace Management.
- Select the [Settings] tab, then choose workplace properties > Custom Properties.
- Click [Add Property].
- Enter the property name (e.g., operating hours, phone number, workplace guidelines).
- Choose the data type:
- Select from options: Choose an option that has been pre-registered.
- Enter manually: Directly input data when registering the property (e.g., store phone number).
- Photo: Upload a photo when registering the property.
- Document: Upload a document when registering the property.
- Set the "View Permission". Only administrators or leaders with view permissions can view this custom property. Administrators are included by default.
- Set the "Edit Permission". Only administrators or leaders with edit permissions can edit the custom property when adding a workplace. Administrators are included by default.
