Set up Attendance Cutoff

NOTE
The attendance cutoff feature can only be configured by administrators when using attendance or scheduling functions.

1. What is Attendance Cutoff?

  • Attendance cutoff ensures data accuracy by preventing edits to attendance records within a set period.
  • After a cutoff, leaders cannot create, edit, or delete attendance records, and employees cannot request further approvals.
  • Records included in the cutoff are punch-in/out records, schedules, leave, and overtime.

2. Configuring Attendance Cutoff

▪︎ Enable Attendance Cutoff

  1. Go to Dashboard > Feature settings > Attendance cutoff.
  2. Switch Attendance cutoff to Use.
  3. If attendance or schedule features are disabled, the attendance cutoff will automatically switch to Unused.
  4. Set Attendance Cutoff Management Permissions
    1. Navigate to Dashboard > Feature settings > Attendance cutoff > Attendance cutoff management permissions. Click the settings button to assign permissions.
    2. Only administrators or leaders with approval authority can process attendance cutoffs or reversals.

▪︎ Configure Automatic Cutoff

Enable automatic cutoffs to process attendance records periodically.

  1. Go to Dashboard > Feature settings > Attendance cutoff > Automatic cutoff setting or select the Automatic cutoff setting tab in the attendance cutoff menu.
  2. Choose the automatic cutoff cycle and cutoff date:
    1. Monthly cutoff: Closes the previous month’s records at midnight on the selected date.
    2. Weekly cutoff: Closes the previous week’s records at midnight on the selected day.
    3. You can immediately view the cutoff period and cutoff date based on your settings. Please refer to this information when configuring the cutoff.
  3. Configure cutoff notification settings:
    1. Send daily reminders to leaders and employees before the cutoff date to review their data.
    2. Set the duration and time for sending reminders.
    3. Employees whose records are already finalized before the cutoff date will not receive notifications.

Q. I switched from weekly to monthly automatic cutoffs. When will the new cutoff period begin?

  1. If the automatically processed cutoff period includes previously finalized attendance cutoff periods, the target period will automatically adjust to start from the next date. This ensures seamless transitions, even when switching from weekly to monthly cutoffs.
  2. However, since automatic cutoff is applied only from the date following the previously finalized period, earlier records require manual attendance cutoff processing to be included.
