1. Dashboard > Approval > Approval Settings menu
2. Activate the [Allow Delegation of Approval Authority] setting under the Approval Policy tab.
Once this setting is enabled, the [Delegation of Approval Authority] tab will appear on the left side of the Approval Policy tab.
Approval authority can be delegated to leaders and administrators with approval authority.
1. All admins and leaders
You can select any admin or leader registered in the company as the delegate.
2. Specific admins and leaders
You can select a delegate from a specific group of admins and leaders.
3. Group leader
• Leaders in the same group
You can select a leader in the same group as you, with the same or different fixed workplace, to delegate the authority.
• Leaders in the upper group
You can select a leader from the upper group who is part of your group to delegate the authority.
• Default
The default list of delegates will appear when applying for delegation.
• Optional
If the person you want to select is not listed, you can choose them from the optional list.
Once the delegation request is submitted, it must be approved for the applicant's approval authority to be delegated.
1. The delegatee approves directly
No third-party approval is required when delegating approval authority.
2. The upper group leader of the applicant approves
If the delegatee is a leader from the upper group, they can approve directly. If the applicant's upper group leader is unavailable, the next upper group leader will be designated as the approver. If the applicant is from the highest group, the top group leader will be assigned as the approver.
3. Select the types of leave that will restrict delegation requests.
If you select certain leave types to restrict, the approval authority cannot be delegated during the leave period. For example, parental leave or other long-term leaves can prevent delegation during that time.
