Understanding Groups

04-06-2024

By understanding the concepts of groups and administrative rights, you could get an overall idea of how you could utilize our service.

1. What is Group?

Group is a department or team where members are assigned. You can organize groups freely according to your business size and employee policy.

Groups have a hierarchical structure and are divided into upper groups and subgroups.

If your company has a structure where all members are assigned to one group, you may only use the Top-level group. The top-level group name is the same as the company name, and the top-level group cannot be deleted.

2. Administrative rights(Managing groups)

  • When a member becomes an administrator, he has permission to view and approve requests for all employees of the company.
  • Leaders have permission to view members in their managing groups. It is optional to grant the approval authority to each leader.

You can select leaders for each group. If your company has a structure where all members are assigned to one group, you may only use a Top-level group.

Administrative rights consist of 'permission to view' and 'approval authority'. All leaders have permission to view members in their managing groups. This includes viewing employee information, reports, posts, schedules, and attendance records freely.

However, it is optional to grant the approval authority to each leader. Leaders with the approval authority can review, approve, or reject approval requests submitted by employees (schedule changes, leave, overtime, etc.). Leaders without the approval authority can only view approval requests but will not be able to approve or reject them.
